Balloon Sinuplasty is a minimally invasive procedure performed in the office to treat chronic sinusitis. It is painless, done under local anesthesia, and does not cause any bruising or scarring. Most people feel so great they can return to work the next day.
Balloon Sinuplasty offers immediate and long term relief from chronic sinusitis. The doctor uses a small balloon to dilate the sinuses, leaving them open and allowing them to function properly. No more medications, headaches, or non-stop drainage.
Nasal obstruction is often caused by an anatomical blockage in the nose, hindering airflow. As a result, you may feel congested or “stuffy.”
Home remedies and medications may offer temporary relief. It’s only when your nasal airway is opened that you can expect to find real, lasting relief.
Nasal airway remodeling with Aerin Medical's VivAer® Procedure is a simple, one-time treatment that opens the nasal passages and restores free breathing without surgery. Nasal airway remodeling can be performed in minutes, in the office, as a non-invasive treatment.
Dr. Ryan Gegg joined ENT South in the summer of 2017. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in psychology and an interest in going further with a career in medicine.
After interviewing at colleges across the country, Dr. Gegg chose the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, one of the most prestigious in the nation. “My best friend’s dad is an osteopath – he was a great mentor to me through the process,” says Dr. Gegg. “But also, I was glad to be able to be closer to home during that time.”
Dr. Gegg later performed his residency as an ENT-otolaryngologist in the St. Johns Providence Health System of hospitals in Michigan. “During that time, I worked with patients to treat all types of ear, nose and throat disorders,” says Dr. Gegg. “I’m looking forward to seeing people from all walks of life, babies to senior adults, to treat the same issues here in the Wiregrass.”
“Dr. Gegg brings a fresh perspective and a joy for helping people,” says Dr. Nunnally. “He is friendly and compassionate, a perfect fit for the ‘patient first’ mentality we have at ENT South.”
